6x2 Liftable Pusher Axle

This suspension system automatically determines payload to lift or lower the foremost rear axle. The result is greater fuel efficiency, improved traction and increased tire life, making it the ideal solution for regional, bulk, tanker and liquid hauls.

  • Enhanced Traction (ET) Mode

    Grips the road to save fuel

    Designed to boost low-speed traction for improved starts, docking and slippery road conditions.

    • Optimized Traction (OT) Mode

      Drops the pounds to carry the weight

      The system’s default setting, OT balances the weight between the two rear axles when the tractor is loaded. If wheel slip is detected, the system can temporarily increase load to the drive axle for 30 seconds to provide improved traction.

    • Basic Traction (BT) Mode

      Splits the load 50/50

      Lowers the lift axle regardless of suspension load and maintains a 50/50 load split between the lift axle and drive axle during loading or unloading, prolonged stops or areas that require 50/50 load splits between tandem axles.

    • Lower Cost of Ownership

      When the load is empty and the axle lifts, the tractor operates as a 4x2 for less drag, better fuel efficiency and reduced tire wear, which helps lower fuel and maintenance costs.

    • Uptime by Design

      With the drive axle in the rear position, weight gets distributed more evenly—limiting wear and extending life. The weld-free assembly allows for easy alignment, and the R-series drive spindles simplifies maintenance by using the same wheel end equipment as the drive axle.
